Sorry to vent here for a second, but I heard one too many media voices yesterday telling me what a “historical” election this was. Um, no. Barack Obama winning the presidency makes this a historic election. A historical election would be, I don’t know, Zachary Taylor winning the presidency.
(Frankly, I think even Zachary Taylor could have run a better campaign than McCain-Palin, and he’s been dead since 1850. “Whig in a Box” for President!)
A couple quick wordplay questions, with a TV theme:
- What current TV show, starring several not-very-famous “celebrities,” has a title that can be re-spaced (and/or re-punctuated) into a phrase meaning “a not-very-famous ‘celebrity’”?
- What TV franchise, one of the most successful of all time, has a nickname that can be re-spaced (and/or re-punctuated) to spell the name of a character from one of the most successful movie franchises of all time?
