Assignment desk! Did clear American Idol frontrunner David Archuleta lose to David Cook in last night’s finale because he’s Mormon? You remember those Romney poll numbers showing how many Americans wouldn’t vote for a Mormon president–do we have higher or lower religious standards for our reality show winners? Maybe Mormons and beat-boxers are the last two okay-to-hate minorities. Look in the mirror, America! Would you vote a beat-boxer for president? I bet I could get a majority here for “No, unless Obama can beat-box.”

My Canadian trivia colleague Paul Paquet asked if I’d mention the new daily quiz game over at his excellent site, Trivia Hall of Fame. Since you log in to play, the site will track your scores over time, so you can see how you stack up against your friends, enemies, whoever. The new games have only been live for a couple days and Paul’s already had hundreds of signups–in fact, among the top players, I see some familiar names from this site.
