The Smithsonian has just announced that crossword/trivia guru Stanley Newman and I will be giving a seminar there this summer on how to improve your trivia and quiz show acumen. Saturday, July 24. Be there or be…hmmm. I can’t pretend that a six-hour seminar on trivia skills is exactly the opposite of “square.”
But it should be a good time. I have a pretty busy summer ahead of me, so I waffled on this when Stan asked if I wanted to do it, but in the end I decided it was probably the only chance I’d ever have to lecture at the Smithsonian, so I couldn’t really say no. And now look at me, up there on that calendar with Louis Gossett, Jr. and John Waters and…uh, whoever that dude is underneath John Waters. I hope that doesn’t come up at the trivia seminar!
