As I mentioned briefly a few days ago, I’m going to be writing a weekly quiz for Slate from now on. Each week’s quiz will be twelve multiple-choice questions on the past week’s events, from news to sports to business to tech to culture, with an emphasis on the funny, surprising, and bizarre. The interface Slate cooked up is really fun and fast-paced, and makes the whole enterprise feel like a game show of sorts. (No prizes at the moment, but we may get there.)
The inaugural Friday quiz is up, and Slate‘s top editor David Plotz has agreed to be our first guinea pig, notching up an impressive 380 points. Were you paying attention this week? Can you beat his score? If so, you become editor of Slate and Plotz has to do your job for a month, it’s totally crazy!
