For the record, I am not a drunk.
Whiskey makes me cry.
There is, of course, a difference between "15 drinks and i'm still fine!" and "3 drinks in the wrong order and you'll see that lobster dinner again." Out of curiosity, here's a quick poll (feel free to conduct it as a thought experiment):
If the axiom does not hold for you (Neil, myself, and others?):
1) Do you like spicy foods?
2) Do you drink your coffee black?
3) Do you like dark chocolate (70%+) as much or more than milk chocolate?
My layman's theory (read: don't base your opinion of the earth's age on it) is that some people enjoy "challenge" foods more than others. The challenge of the food, either spices or whatever, adds some sort of additional enjoyment to the food that other people don't necessarily like. I like all of the above (I'd answer yes to all three), but know a lot of people who don't like any of those things. I don't know many people who fall somewhere in between.
Opinions?
