The place to talk. "On topic"? "Off topic"? We make no such petty distinctions here.

Please tell me you fired whoever arranged for the picture on the NPR website.

Zooks. It looks like the boogey man just crawled out from under your bed and you want your teddy bear.

THAT was the "Mindy Shot"?!

Oops. Maybe we KJLs should lay off the chronic before we post.

Seriously, I though the "Mindy Shot" was the one of Ken leaning against the bookshelf, arms crossed in front, confidently looking past the camera to what had to be a Daily Double in a movie category.

Sorry.

I'm not seeing the boogey man shot. The one I can see on NPR is just the author photo, cropped. Link?

You're right. That is the author shot from the book, poorly cropped.

From the expression on your face, it is a bit unfortunate that the words "life-long obession" appear in the caption. Cropping out your other arm (and the pile of books it was resting on) makes you look like you've been on a multi-day Totoro bender and now Emo the Angry Pet Rock is coming for you.

Glad to know we can safely blame this on an NPR staffer instead of an about-to-be mother of two.

First thing that came to my mind with that photo was Kreskin. Maybe it's just the shirt...
