The Jeopardy thing...

Ken is cool because
a) he isn't caught up in his own celbrinerdiness (what part of speech is that?)
b) he's completely ok with who he is, Hermie hair do and all
c) he encourages us all to laugh at him as hard as he laughs at himself

We should all be more like this.

...OK, I admit it.
I'm a KenFan. :-)

He's a nice guy, and this might seem a little empty, but I think Ken's cool because he knows a lot of stuff.

He has a great sense of humor, and it's SMART humor, not Dennis-Miller-throwing-together-references-to-classic-literature-and-60s-sitcoms-in-the-same-sentence while-still-making-it-sound-like-mindless-ranting-type so-called smart humor, but genuine finding-appropriate-references-from-a-wide-and-often-surprising-storehouse-of-knowledge kind of smart humor.

Example: The "when you leave San Francisco" reference in Thursday's blog title got me laughing faster than any 'professional funnyblogger' has in months! And it worked as a musical reference, a cultural reference, a play on his own 'square' image and as well-constructed wordplay.

America needs smarter humor, just as it needs smarter everything else.

Precisely!!!! The San Francisco reference was brilliant. How obvious, yet how original. Why hasn't anyone ever turned that around before?

I, for one, am planning to steal it for my upcoming article about Sourdough Bread.

Ken is so cool because he steals design ideas from other, less known bloggers. Take that Jennings.
