I don't mind saying that (at least if I'm correct) this is the first question 7 I've ever known off the top of my head.

Which brings up a question for Ken. Do you do these off the top of your head? Or do you say to yourself, "Self, I know this about Paul McCartney and Larry Hagman, what other people can I find to make the set?" and then start Googling to find said people?
I forgot what I was going to say...

Yeah, that sounds about right. Usually I think of the connection first (between, say, 2-3 items) and then try to fill out the rest of the list using our friend the Internet. You're also right about Paul McCartney being the one who sparked the list this time around.

This may be the easiest Question 7 ever, for a couple reasons.

I think it is easy. I have a few links between four or five of them, but not all of them.

P.S. I hate Paul McCartney. Why? Two words. It helps if you buy an "O".

Answer: Yoko Ono. Why her? She caused the breakup of the Beatles. This, in turn, caused Paul McCartney to form the group Wings, leading to the worst song in the history of music: Band on the Run.

Funny. Paul McCartney was not one of the ones that I knew. I had several of the others, though.

Just wondering, has anyone else noticed that TT 25 is themed toward Dec. 25?

I immediately got the connection, using Sir Paul and working from there. What scares me is that I think I finally aced one, which means they're probably all wrong!

Actually, I would have thought that the future ex-Mrs. McCartney would have been on the #7 list a few weeks back!

Quite true. One of my math teachers once took the GRE to see how well he did. He was 100% sure he aced it, but it turned out he missed one.

Me, I think I've got it, although the answer I got certainly isn't unique...but the question says nothing about uniqueness.

Apparently I'm the only one who hasn't a clue as to the connection on #7 this week.

I wouldn't have known it either, except for the fact that:

1) The quiz is holiday themed

2) I knew some piece of trivia from somewhere that related to two of the people for sure and the Christmas, and it turned out it did hold for the others I had suspicions about.

This is a good Christmas present. My first TT #7 ever.

I was right. Even having seen the answer, I still wouldn't have gotten it. Not sure why you thought it was all that easy, Ken. But hey, I'm sure there are things I find easy that others do not. Such is the joy of TT. :)

Ok, here is why I thought #7 was easy. Larry Hagman's mother is probably the third most-famous thing about him. Robert Lincoln's father is far and away the most famous thing about him, but we all know his mother too. There were a bunch of Leakeys, so that suggests a family thing. Zooey Deschanel is an actress who I think is related to other actors (though I don't know their names). The other three, well it helps if you've already thought of the answer, but I did know the mothers of McCartney and James.

Though I missed question 7 (I have often wondered if the “Mother Mary” in “Let it Be” was the Mary the mother of Jesus), I found this quiz the easiest. And I am actually in the top 140! (Or at least tied for 139th).

I do have a confession to make, though. I never google before sending a quiz (my scores verify that), but I did look an a world map to find Christmas Island, and waited until Sunday night to watch “It’s a Wonderful Life” to verify the carol.

I knew Mary Martin was Hagman's mother. I was guessing that Robert Lincoln was the son of Abraham, but it being a common enough name, I wasn't certain that was the one being referred to. I know Zooey is Emily's sister, as I like the show "Bones", but had no clue who her mother was. I had no clue who Sir Paul's mother was, but I guess had I pondered on it for a while longer, I may have remembered that Mary, Queen of Scots was James' mother. The Christmas theme may have made me answer that way, but it was still a rather tenuous link (in my mind).

Zooey's mom Mary Jo Deschanel isn't all that famous (she's more an occasionally-acting cinematographer's wife than a working actress) but you'd probably recognize her from her one big part: John Glenn's stuttering wife in The Right Stuff.

As a Beatles fan, I can tell you that the "Mother Mary" reference in Let It Be is a lament for Sir Paul's late mother, who died when he was about 14. Sadly, she was a maternity ward nurse, yet died of diagnosed-too-late breast cancer.

As for It's a Wonderful Life, I absolutely freaked when I saw it and heard Auld Lang Syne! I was so sure I had aced it (thanks for the Christmas gift, Ken!), and then I started to worry!
