Publicly Owned Sports Teams

I noticed that there was a question in Brainiac asking what was the only publicly owned team in U.S. sports? Here is an interesting piece of trivia - in Canada, there is also a publicly owned major professional sports team - the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League.
