CCLVII 6/21 question

Postby braggtastic » Tue Jun 28, 2011 6:03 am

I would like to offer an explanation of my answer to the Plan B question. To me if Plan B is ending a nacent pregnancy, Plan A is having a baby, so I wrote 'birth' for the answer to this question. I don't think everyone who uses Plan B used contraception and had it fail, which is why I didn't write condom or something like it for the answer to this question.

There were some similar answers like "pregnancy" "having a baby" etc. I did not accept those, since the correct reasoning should be "If Plan A doesn't work, use Plan B", in which case Plan A would be contraception/NOT getting pregnant in the first place and Plan B would be the morning after pill...

Although I will defer to Ken for the final ruling on alternate answers, and am willing to redo scores if necessary.

I may or may not have been more lenient, but you can't disagree with Lilly's logic here. To say that "Plan A" is "giving birth" might show that you know what the drug does (birth control), but it also reveals a fundamental misunderstanding of (or lack of thought about) what the branding means.
