The place to talk. "On topic"? "Off topic"? We make no such petty distinctions here.

Can you add anyone to this very select group?

(Two of the greatest Swedish disc golfers of all time are in this group, but I didn't think you would recognize them -- ha ha.)

The fictional character on the right joins the group a little earlier than the others, if that's okay.

Hmmmm, if that's the guy I think it is, I think he falls 1 short of qualifying with the others pictured above.

I figured out the theme, but I don't think I can come up with a well-known name that fits without using some sort of witchcraft.

Ha ha skull, you got it. There are several VERY famous Americans that I left out -- that all have the same qualification. One is involved with one of the best selling bands ever. Another is first in line in an exclusive group of 12 humans (not the same group as we're playing here).

Not one of my strengths either, so I'll just float downstream.

Wow! Although I'm not famous, if I had a catchphrase, it would one-up any of those folks. (J! 12/26/11)

Incidentally, the guy I posted above (reposted here) either belongs to a narrower subset of the category, or doesn't belong at all, depending on how you define the group. Any guesses as to who this is?

When you first posted, I figured it was a bad pic of Nietzsche. But using your pic as the search key in Google Images, I see it is actually a 1-upper I've never heard of.

Wow. I did not know you could do that.

So much for our non-Googleable image puzzles.

Yeah, in addition to giving a url or uploading a pic, you can just drag-and-drop images onto the search box (in Chrome anyway -- not sure about Explorer). Slick.

Wow ... I too had no idea that was a technique one could use to russell up an answer. How long has that search option been around??

I don't know if this was a serious question, but just in case -- it looks like they added it around June:

Back in the day (1998?), AltaVista had a "search for similar image" feature, but it went away.

Or maybe of this vintage.

I'd have gotten in earlier but my plane malfunctioned.
